This article helped me understand that artists often use the internet as their "canvas" and that it really is a good way to reach a global audience. Rather than just being a form of communication, it is an excellent way for your artistic expression to reach a much wider audience. This, as well as the rest of this course, has really helped me question the traditional definition of art, and that it can really be whatever you want, as well as how it is expanding more and more into the digital realm. The internet is an amazing way to reach more diverse communities and create more unique art by collaborating with people from all sorts of different backgrounds. The article helped express the growing relationship between technology and art, as well as how expansively the internet can be used for artistic expression. It was exciting to see how creative we can be with technology as well as how many tools there are out there to help us express ourselves in whichever way we would like. Both this article and this class have made me excited to realize all of the things we can do with the technology we now have, and how limitless the bounds of creativity really are. It is really inspiring to know that creative expression cannot be limited, and our options will continue to grow and grow. "Web Work: A History of Internet Art" has given me a new appreciation for the dynamic relationship between technology and art.
